Dr. Mehrdad Zarrinmakan, M.D. FACS RPVI RVT, is the Youngstown-Warren area’s premier vascular and thoracic surgeon. Unlike many physicians in other vein centers, Dr. Zarrinmakan specializes in cardiovascular surgery. He treats vein disease not only with the latest technology, but also with an art and passion for his patients and their procedures.

Dr. Zarrinmakan received his medical degree from the University of Bristol, England in 1991. He completed his residency in General Surgery at the Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA in 1998, followed by a Cardiovascular Surgery Fellowship at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY in 2000.

Dr. Zarrinmakan is a diplomat of the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.

As an active clinician Dr. Zarrinmakan treats all aspects of vascular and thoracic surgery and also takes care in the training of residents and Ohio medical students.
